How often do you watch films of the drama genre?

This question was to receive information regarding the amount of people who watch drama on a regular basis and to see how many people generally watch drama films. The results were that most people who watch drama films often watch them monthly though this can depend on the time of year and what is being released at the moment of time. This can also depend on the amount of mainstream titles being released at that time because this can affect the amount of films of the genre the audience may watch.      

Do you enjoy watching drama? If so what are the main reasons you enjoy watching a drama film?

This question was to investigate what aspects of a drama the general audience enjoyed so that we can apply these positive features to our film during the film taking process. The results show that many of the people who watch drama films tend to like the evolution in characters stating that it was interesting seeing the progression from beginning to the end of the film. Others stated they liked the emotional side of dramas. 

Name 3 films you have seen that fit in the drama genre?

This question was for us to receive examples of key movies that most people generally remember and would allow us to then look into these films and see the key factors as to what they did right. Many of the people stated different films though the key film that got the most attention was The Shawshank Redemption, which also was a very popular film on the web. This shows that this film definitely got the piece correct and by analysing this film will give us ideas as to how to make our film.

Do you think the Drama genre goes well with any of these genres? If so why?

This question was for us to see what other genres went well with drama as this could impact our film if enough people suggest a certain sub-genre as this would show that the elements of other genres would attract other audiences. The results showed that many people believe that thriller suited drama the best and that our film would be best if we could have certain elements inside our film.

Where do you often see movies for this genre?

This question was to see where our film opening would most likely be viewed in order to become aware of what type of people we go to see the film. The results show that many people would see this film at the cinema though this would depend on the trailer and how anticipated the film is.

What age rating do you think a drama genre film should be?

This question was to see what age rating we should target our film at as this could affect the types of things we can feature inside the opening. Most stated 15 because drama films are generally targeted towards adults so there is no need in making the film at a lower rating.
